Have you ever wanted to make a short film but didn’t know where to start or think that you would have to buy expensive equipment to produce great video content?
Welcome to WACI‘s new exciting online resource where you can learn how to create professional-quality videos with your mobile device. We’ll show you how to plan, create, edit and upload your videos.
Objective
Our ‘Filmmaking on Mobile Devices’ toolkit aims to empower budding young filmmakers across Scotland and to inspire you to create a short film.
Description
Filmmaking has been revolutionized with the advent of smartphones and new powerful apps which give you the ability to create professionalized video content with ease, without the need to spend money on expensive computer software or expensive filming equipment.
We will walk you through the process of creating your very own short film by:
- Planning ahead:
- Coming up with video content ideas
- The things you have to think about before you pick up your phone or tablet.
- How to transform your ideas onto templates to guide you in your filmmaking
- Creating content: Lights, camera and action!
- Editing your film: tips and tricks in creating a beautiful short film
- Saving your project and sending it to people.
We hope that you will all find it fun and engaging. You never know, it might just become your new favourite thing to do!
