Editing - Audio

Now that you have your video looking the way you want, now we move onto editing the audio. This includes the audio from your footage, adding sounds effects and music to creating voiceovers

Adjusting The Audio Volume

It’s really important that you make sure your audio is at a good level – you don’t want it too loud or too quiet. To adjust the volume of the audio on your video:

  1. Click on the video image
  2. Select the ‘Detach’ icon at the bottom right-hand corner
  3. Select ‘Volume’ icon at the bottom left-hand corner
  4. From there select the audio file.
  5. Use the slider to find the level required
  6. Adjust the Fade In and Fade Out by selecting the ‘Fade’ button
  7. If you no longer require the original audio on the video, simply select the audio and delete it.

From there you will be able to move the audio to where you require by pressing and dragging the audio to the desired location on your timeline.

Voiceovers and Narration

There are two way in which to achieve your voiceover.

  1. To pre-record your voiceover using your devices ‘Voice Memo’s’ function and then import the file to your video by pressing the (+) sign, select ‘Recordings’ and insert your pre-recorded file
  2. Live record your voiceover directly onto the film footage.
