WACI are looking for a new Coordinator to join our team.

⌛️Hours: Part-Time, 14hrs per week
💷 Rate: £25,709-£31,555 per annum, pro-rata
📃 Contract Term: Fixed Term until 31 July 2022

We are: seeking to appoint a Coordinator on a fixed-term basis for the Widening Access to the Creative Industries project.  You will support the Conservatoire’s widening access and participation programme in the performing and production arts for schools in the West of Scotland.

You will: devise and coordinate our Widening Access to the Creative Industries (WACI) programme to promote and deliver Fair Access provision at RCS and beyond. You will create dedicated access pathways from targeted disadvantaged and under-represented schools and communities, predominantly in the West of in Scotland. You will work closely with the Fair Access Team as well as students/participants and colleagues to ensure that activity is aligned with institutional priorities. You will be expected to work in close collaboration with a range of partners to ensure that the schools and community engagement activity is appropriate, effective and successful.

You will: have experience of working in an arts and/or education setting, Coordinating and developing educational/fair access projects for disadvantaged and/or under-represented groups and working with disadvantaged and under-represented communities and engaging those ‘hard to reach’ in education and/or the arts. You will have devised recruitment and/or schools/community engagement campaigns and experience of evaluating and reporting to a range of internal and external bodies and budgeting, finance and data systems.  You will be used to working in a busy environment with changing priorities.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position until July 2022. The role is funded by the Scottish Funding Council via Focus West.
