Welcome to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland BEd department!
We hope you are looking forward to starting your studies on the BEd (Music) Programme at the Royal Conservatoires of Scotland. A number of sessions have been arranged as part of the induction week, which will help you prepare for your studies and give you an introduction to the Conservatoire. You will have the opportunity to meet key staff members who will provide an overview of the Programme.

BEd Welcome and Induction Schedule 2023
These events are compulsory and it is important that you look carefully through the schedule and identify those that apply to you. You will matriculate (register on your programme) on Monday 25 September. More information about this process can be found here: https://portal.rcs.ac.uk/matriculation/.
Please ensure you read and complete the tasks set out in the BEd-Music-Induction-Pack-2023-24 before you arrive. The tasks have been designed to get you thinking about various aspects of your studies so you will be able to make a smooth transition into year 1. The 2023-24 Programme Handbook will be available to you once you have matriculated.
