Welcome
Moving into full-time Conservatoire training from school or college is an exciting time and we hope you are looking forward to starting the next stage of your studies. For some people it can feel like a big step up. There will be new challenges ahead, and new skills and knowledge that you will develop as you go.
We spoke to some of our Transitions alumni who are studying on BA and MA courses at RCS to ask them what would have been useful to know or do before starting their course. The Get Ready to Study Resource Pack is a result of this research and we hope it will be useful as you prepare to study.
The Get Ready to Study pack is evolving resource – if you have ideas of things that we should add please let us know so it can be updated. It will be available here throughout the year for you to access whenever you need it.
And remember, the Transitions door is always open to you – if you have any questions, concerns or just want a chat about how things are going you can sometimes find us in the office or get in touch at transitions@rcs.ac.uk. Hopefully we can answer your questions or arrange a time to meet you.
