News: Transitions are recruiting

Transitions are recruiting in:

  • Filmmaking
  • Theatre Production
  • Music Education (BEd)
  • Contemporary Performance Practice (CPP)

Transitions is an award-winning initiative that aims to support young people from SIMD-1 or care experienced backgrounds into further education in the arts.  If you (or someone you know) are thinking about a career in Film, Production, Bed or CPP – the Transitions programme could help you on your way.

We understand that for many people who are interested in a career in the performing arts, finding and funding suitable training activities and courses can be challenging. At Transitions, we believe that everyone with talent and potential should have access to training regardless of background.

We aim to help people from key Scottish postcodes who are keen to study and make careers in the performing arts by offering mentoring and funded training.  Students accepted onto the Transitions programme receive fully-funded tuition on either our RCS Junior Conservatoire or our Short Courses programme.  In addition, students develop transferrable skills through coaching sessions, collaborative opportunities and a host of exciting core activities

For further information about Transitions and how to apply please browse our webpages for more information or e-mail our friendly team at: transitions@rcs.ac.uk. We would be happy to help with your enquiry.
