We were awarded funding from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Innovation Studio to hold two workshops to develop bespoke singing for health training. Our aim was to use these workshops to develop training specifically for Singing for Health leaders in Scotland.
In this second workshop, we built on discussions and insights from the workshop that took place on 19 April, with Brianna and Sophie presenting different options for singing for health training. Those attending offered feedback on these plans. We also considered peer-to-peer support and mentorship for singing for health leaders.
We were joined by Jo Miller, coordinator of the Trad Arts Mentoring programme for Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland, and Anne Gallacher, Director of Luminate – Scotland’s Creative Ageing organisation, who discussed the recent evaluation of Luminate’s peer support pilot.
