Upon Arrival
Please report to the registration desk which will be located on level 1 of the Conservatoire. A student usher or member of staff will take you to your warm up room. If you are delayed for any reason, please do phone us on +44 141 270 8265. If you have someone with you, they are welcome to remain in the cafe/bar as long as required.
Practice Facilities
Unfortunately we cannot give access to a practice room out with your warm up time. However, The Mitchell Library (North Street, Glasgow, G3 7DN) has a practice room facility for students. If you are booking a practice room please remember to say that you are attending an RCS audition!
BMus and MA/MMus Interviews
Following your audition, you may be invited to an interview. This will last approximately 10 minutes. In the interview don’t try and give replies that you think we want or think will impress us. Be yourself and answer honestly. This is also your opportunity to see if the course suits you so please ask any questions. The interview will be with one member of the School of Music staff.
If you are referred for an interview, an usher will escort you to the registration desk after your audition to book an interview time on the same day.
Base Glasgow (student accommodation) Tours
If you wish to visit our student halls of residence, Base Glasgow, will be holding daily tours. If you wish to join this tour, please sign up for this on your audition day at the student recruitment information desk.
RCS Scholarships
All applicants are considered for scholarship as part of the audition process. Scholarships are competitive and, should you be successful, you will be notified of this as soon as possible following your audition. Further information on scholarships can be found here.
Travel Information
As the audition day may comprise of a further interview, please ensure that you are available for at least 2-3 hours following your initial audition time.
