My name is Tristan John, I am a self-employed Tour Manager and Backline Technician based in Glasgow, Scotland.
As a Backline Technician, my job involves the setup and maintenance of musical equipment for live shows. I entered this line of work through playing in bands after leaving High School and after studying BA Hons Commercial Music at the University of the West of Scotland.
I have been a full time Backline Technician since 2015, during which some of the acts I have worked with nationally and internationally have included KT Tunstall, Lewis Capaldi, The Twilight Sad, Gerry Cinnamon, and most recently, Franz Ferdinand.
