Mental Health and Your Arts Career

 Introduction 

If you are training in the arts (or thinking about a career in the arts) and you have a mental health condition, you might have moments where you question whether or not you will be able to cope with working in the arts industry.

The working days can be very long and intense, getting jobs can be highly competitive, and production schedules are often quite strict.

There are countless creative people with mental health conditions who have asked themselves that very question: can I cope with working in the arts? And many have gone on to build very successful careers in the arts industries.

 What is it? 

We’re going to meet 5 individuals who will share information about working in the arts when you have a mental health condition. These artists have a range of different experiences of mental ill-health, including:
