Purdy brushes

Purdy brushes are of exceptional quality, well maintained and they will last a long time, making them far more economical in the long term. The characteristics of any Purdy are, firm synthetic bristles that hold a lot of paint and give a smooth finish.

Purdy Dale Elite

Dale elite

The best brush around for lining and cartooning, it can achieve a variety of line strength.

Prices (ex VAT): £9.09 for 1″ it can be found on the flints website here

Glide Elite

Glide elite

A similar themed brush to the Dale Elite, but a with a chunkier head of bristles and a thicker handle.

Sprig Elite, Monarch Elite and Pro-Monarch Elite

Monarch elitePro monarch

The difference between these brushes are much of a muchness, the sprig elite has a thinner head, the pro-monarch has more bristles. All three give a great smooth finish and retain their shape very well. The smaller sizes are great for difficult shapes and the larger brushes are great for hand spattering or dry brushing.

These come in a variety of prices and sizes that can be found here

Budget Brushes

Budget brushes sometimes have to be a necessary choice, but they are useful tools to have in your kit and are regarded by some as even better than their pricier Purdy cousins.
