Storytelling Through Sound and Screen

Calling all storytellers! Being able to share a story is a huge part of performance arts, here we will focus on how we tell a story through the medium of sound and screen. We’ll be joined by composer and cellist Oliver Coates, who recently scored the film Aftersun, for a talk on his journey through music. Then a creative conversation between Oliver and RCS film lecturer Vince Hunter on the interaction between the world of music and film. Vince will end the day with a performance writing workshop which is perfect for aspiring filmmakers, directors, and scriptwriters!
