Short Course: Storytelling for Film

Storytelling for Film, 5 – 14 April

Interested in writing or telling stories or making a film of your own?

Throughout this short course with Michael Lee Richardson, we’ll look at how to come up with new ideas and tell stories onscreen – and you’ll get to put your new skills into practice and start writing a script of your own.

Whether you’ve already got loads of experience or you want to try something for the first time, these workshops are a great way to get your creativity flowing, meet other like-minded young people and make something worth sharing. 

 Dates and Times 

All sessions will take place on Zoom at 5pm till 7pm on the following dates:

 About Your Tutor 

Michael Lee Richardson is a writer and youth worker based in Glasgow. Michael’s short film, My Loneliness is Killing Me – directed by Tim Courtney – won a BAFTA Scotland Award in 2018. It has been shown on BBC Scotland and at film festivals around the world. Michael’s new short, Who I Am Now – directed by Jack Goessens – will be released soon. Michael currently has film and television projects in development with Kindle Entertainment, Balloon, Projector Pictures, Tigerlily, Bombito and Candle & Bell. Michael is passionate about telling rich, authentic stories about queer and working class lives and culture. Outside of writing, Michael likes 80s makeover montages, witches, and going to the shops.
