FAIR ACCESS VIRTUAL DRAMA GROUP (FAVDG)

If you have ever wanted to try out acting, directing or writing then the Fair Access Online Drama Group could be the place for you!
This group is about trying out new ideas, building performance skills, gaining confidence, and learning about all of the different elements that make great theatre happen. You will meet other young people from all over Scotland who are also interested in theatre and performance. It’s a chance to share your ideas, speak your mind, make connections, and create new work together.
Who can sign-up:
You’re invited to apply and join us for our virtual drama collaboration if you meet one of the following criteria:
- Attend a WACI (Focus West) School
- Are a LEAPs Student
- Live in an SiMD1 Postcode area
- Are a Transitions Student
- Care Experienced or Estranged
When it will happen:
The workshops all take place at 5pm on the following dates:
- Thursday 3 March
- Thursday 10 of March
- Thursday 17 March
- Thursday 24 March

On the Sign-Up form you will be asked:
- Contact information
- About your experience/interest in drama
Don’t worry if you’re new to drama or you don’t have any acting experience. Knowing what level everyone is at is just helpful for us when we’re planning the sessions.
What will happen next:
Tom Arnott leading the project will organise 4 different online ‘meet-ups’. These meet-ups will be an opportunity to have conversations as a group, discuss and workshop ideas and ultimately decide what you’d like to create together.
About Tom:
Tom Fergus Arnott is a freelance facilitator, filmmaker, writer and performer based in Glasgow. Tom has recently worked on projects with Birds of Paradise Theatre Company, Citizens Theatre, and on Conference of the Birds (alongside the COP26 Conference).
