Applications for all programmes offered by Royal Conservatoire of Scotland must be made online through UCAS Conservatoires (somewhat similar to the US Common Application). The minimum general entrance requirement for undergraduate/Bachelor’s-level programmes is the successful completion of a High School Diploma or successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma (minimum score of 24 with three subjects at Higher level). Postgraduate/Master’s-level applicants should possess (or be in the final year of) an appropriate undergraduate degree. A wide range of qualifications is accepted, including various international qualifications. If you would like to check the suitability of your qualifications, please email email@example.com.
Within the UCAS Conservatoires application, you will be able to select either ‘New York’ or ‘Chicago’ as your preferred audition method. Please note that you may also elect to submit a recorded audition instead, and these recorded auditions (uploaded through Acceptd) are reviewed equally by the audition panel. No matter your method of audition, UCAS Conservatoires will collect both an application fee of £25 and audition fee of £55.
After you submit your UCAS Conservatoires application, RCS will be in touch to schedule your live audition (unless you elected ‘Recording’ as your audition method). We will do our best to work around any pre-existing audition schedule conflicts you may have, but in order to do this you should submit your UCAS Conservatoires application as soon as possible. If you have a pre-existing conflict and cannot attend your audition at the assigned time, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
