How did you find out about Transitions?

I received an email after signing up for WACI.

When did you get involved with Transitions?

Summer 2018

What was the most useful thing you learned about your artform and yourself?

I learned so much about Jazz music, of course, but it really showed me how much I didn’t know as well. I was surrounded by so many talented musicians that could teach me stuff every time I spoke to them which certainly drove me to try harder.

Why should someone think about joining Transitions?

I can’t imagine there’s a better support team to help you achieve your creative goals whether it’s to study an artform or just continue developing whilst doing something else. Transitions gave so many opportunities and gave so much support.

What is one piece of advice would you give to any current student on Transitions?

Make as many friends as possible. You’re all part of transitions to grow and like I mentioned before, you can learn from each other as well as teachers and you’ll hopefully make friends for life.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently within your time with Transitions?

I would for sure make more of the events. There are so many and looking back I definitely wish I took more advantage of the opportunities given to me.
