Staff Yoga - Continues into 2020-21

We are extremely fortunate to have two excellent yoga teachers able to deliver yoga three times a week to our staff online via Zoom.

Classes run between 1-2pm on a Monday with Laura Gonzalez and 1-2pm Tuesday and Thursday with Maureen Thorpe.

The classes follow the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Primary Series and each hour long class features a series of poses led by the teacher with full instructions and guidance provided to individuals as you move through the sequence. Adaptations are always given so if you are new to yoga and worry about taking part you will have the option to take things slowly to build strength and confidence.

You can also choose to have your video off too so if you find you want to just have a lie down during that’s perfectly acceptable and nobody needs to know!

We’re offering a free trial for anyone new to yoga so please email wellbeing@rcs.ac.uk to register your interest and then simply log in to whichever class you wish to attend.

A yoga mat is helpful but if you don’t have one a carpeted floor or bath towel on hard flooring can work if you want to try before you buy. Comfortable clothing, (leggings/joggers, t shirt) works fine and have some water to hand.

If you find you like it, submit this form  Zoom Yoga – October – December 2020 to the same email address advising us how many passes you would like and we’ll make a deduction from your next salary. Classes are heavily subsidised at only £1.50 an hour.

Classes will run until the end of T2 and hopefully beyond.
