Postgraduate Students

SAAS Postgraduate Loans – Scottish Students

Tuition fee loans are available for eligible Scottish students taking a one year or two year full-time Masters programme.

One year Masters students can apply for a tuition fee loan of up to £5,500 and a non-income assessed living cost (maintenance) loan of up to £4,500.  Two year Masters students can apply for a tuition fee loan of up to £2,750 per year and a non-income assessed living cost (maintenance) loan of up to £2,250 per year.

Students following a part-time Masters programme can apply for a pro-rated tuition fee loan.  If you are studying part-time, you must take no more than twice the length of the full-time equivalent course at the conservatoire to complete your studies.  The living cost (maintenance) loan is not available to part-time students.

PGDE students are funded through the undergraduate system.  If eligible, you can apply to SAAS to have your £1820 tuition fee paid for you.  You can also apply for a living cost (maintenance) loan at the same time.

More information can be found on the SAAS website.
