If you’re coming to Glasgow to study, you have several choices regarding housing. Glasgow has a large student population (circa. 80,000) and student accommodation is plentiful.

Most new students opt to rent a room in Base Glasgow, the RCS’s preferred accommodation for students.  It was constructed in 2019 and was purpose built for performing arts students.  It has a number of practice rooms, a gym, a cinema, roof terraces, and is just a three-minute walk from the Renfrew Street campus.  All rooms are en-suite.

We suggest that you organise your accommodation as soon as you have accepted an offer of a place at RCS.  Booking information and further details can be found on the Base Glasgow portal page.

We appreciate that not everyone will want to live in Base Glasgow, in which case other accommodation options can be found.
