We are looking for highly motivated young people with a commitment and dedication to studying the performing arts.

We are now accepting applications to our Junior Conservatoire in Fraserburgh programmes for Acting.. All applicants to the Junior Conservatoire must complete an online application form and everyone who applies will be invited to attend an audition.

Rovin' Tales

Rovin' Tales

The RCS North East Arts Hub has been working with young people aged 12-18 in a series of drama classes and, on 10 August, we will be roving about the north east coast, bringing a very unique performance piece – Rovin’ Tales to you.

Rovin’ Tales is an exciting pop up adventure that will travel to four Aberdeenshire coastal towns in one single day on Friday 10 August.

Locations

You can catch the performance at the following venues:

  • Banff, Duff House 10.30am
  • Macduff, Macduff Arts Centre 10.30am
  • Peterhead, Drummer's Corner 1.30pm
  • Fraserburgh, Dalrymple Hall 5.30pm invite only

Each performance will be completely different and you can expect to hear live music, witness exciting action and watch short films created for you by the people of Aberdeenshire. We would love for you to join us to celebrate Rovin Tales’ – no ticket is required with the exception of the Fraserburgh final performance. You can choose to come to one event, or come rovin’ with us and see them all!

Rovin’ Tales is the culmination of a series of exciting taster sessions that have taken place over the last year as part of a unique partnership between the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Aberdeenshire Council. It has been part funded by Creative Scotland’s Place partnership.

Creative Conversation with Michael Lee Richardson

Internationally-respected writer and youth worker, Michael Lee Richardson, will be leading an illustrated talk, Q&A and a practical workshop at the Macduff Arts Centre.

Michael is a writer and youth worker based in Glasgow who is currently working on a comic book script, a children’s drama and their first Young Adult novel. In 2015, they received the Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award (Children’s and Young Adult)

This event is open to the public (16+ years) and FREE.
