Making Connections 

As the name suggests, Let’s Talk About…is a discourse-focused initiative which extends beyond the life of the projects included in this site. Our ethos is to listen-to-learn, to avoid making assumptions, and to find opportunities for deep learning for everyone in carefully held spaces. 

We believe in the sharing of experience and practice, the support and mentoring of early career artists and the role of community in shifting culture. 

Ultimately, we want to see an improvement in how we engage with care experienced and estranged artists, students and audiences both at RCS and throughout the wider arts community in Scotland and beyond. 

We would love to hear about projects and initiatives in this field and make connections with people undertaking the work. Over the coming year we will host: 

• A series of short online creative conversations 
• A co-curated symposium focusing on care experience and estrangement in the arts.
